READY FOR THE 2008 NFL PRESEASON YET?
We are only a few months away from the NFL season and the heat is starting to rise. The first game of the NFL Preseason schedule will be Indiana vs. Washington to be played on August 3rd, I am sure lots of us cannot wait for this game. The Colt’s fans have been giving something back to community in the meantime: They are about helping the victims of the recent flooding in Indiana through a series of Fests and Concerts where the Indianapolis Colts will match up to $10 000 at each Fan Fest location. All the money collected will be donated to the flood victims.
The Washington Redskins on the other hand, are getting ready for the 2008 NFL season. Just last Friday, the Redskins announced the signing of cornerback Justin "J.T." Tryon; the club's fourth-round pick out of Arizona State. He was the 124th overall selection according to the Redskins website. The teams are getting busy as the days go by and the fans seem to be following quite close.
Brandon Marshall, Denver Broncos' quarterback, appears to be almost healed from his arm injury. Last March, Marshall cut an artery, a vein, a nerve, two tendons and three muscles in his right arm in an accident at a resort in Orlando, Florida, however he says his arm is now stronger than ever. We really hope he gets fully recovered for training camp on July 24th.
In a not so upbeat note, Tennessee Titans receiver Brandon Jones faces a charge for unlawful possession of a handgun after trying to carry the weapon through a security checkpoint in his bag. Apparently he was not aware he was carrying the gun and he has actually cooperated with the authorities as much as possible, also he has already apologized to the fans and the team. On his statement he said: "Realizing that I was not intentionally carrying the handgun nor did I have any intention of harming anyone, I was allowed to board my airplane and continue my travels". We really hope all these gets cleared up since we really expect him back on the game.
Another player with bad news is Anquan Boldin, receiver for the Arizona Cardinal’s declares that he is not sure if he will be attending training camp. We do know that any player who skips camp is subject to a fine of slightly more than $15,000 a day, so we don’t think that is money Boldin will be willing to compromise. The Cardinals have stated they still have high expectations for the player and his performance this year.
NFL betting will be quite surprising this season with all these drama going on. 2008 NFL Season may even start on a rocky road yet, all of these can only make the games and odds more interesting. We will be posting more and more news so make sure you keep login on. NFL Preseason is closer every day and we will keep you informed with the most important headlines before, during and after the 2008 NFL Season.
